Levi Strauss Foundation Gives East Tennessee Communities over $500,000 in Grants; $150,000 Will Create a Virtual Women's Center
KNOXVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 18, 2003--The Levi Strauss Foundation announced today it is providing $539,000 in Community Transition Grants to assist women who are facing difficult life crises such as domestic violence, job loss, divorce and illness. The Levi Strauss Foundation support will help increase access to services for individuals living in remote rural communities, as well as strengthen existing resources in urban areas.
